Wii Active – Females will enjoy working out at home

EA Sports Wii Active was designed and marketed to females knowing that they will enjoy the ability to workout at home and because of the variety of exercises: yoga, aerobics, strength training and even outdoor activities.

On of the major difference between Wii Active and Wii Fit is the balance board mat.  With Wii Active you are not required to use it for the majority of the exercises.  This eliminates some of the concern of maintaining your balance because of the small elevation.  The big difference is the use of resistance bands that can be reduced or increased based on how difficult the level of exercise you choose to engage in.  Additionally, the nunchuck pocket holds the controller during leg exercises and it gauges and measure your techniques and repetitions.

A virtual trainer that resembles Bob Green, one of the consultants and exercise development trainer , will guide the users as they go through various workout activities.  The use of Bob Green, Oprah’s personal trainer, is no coincidence .  EA Sports has specifically designed this product to target the female population.  Bob Green virtual trainer provides encouragement through the workout and helps user increase the endurance and muscle strength. One the biggest advantages and features of  Wii Active is the ability to provide the freedom and flexibility to choose the type of workout and add variety to you workout.  This eliminates the boredom of a exercise routine.  Also, the sounds and visual integration provides further entertainment and removes many of the excuses that we all  have about exercising.

From the recent feedback made by those who have joined the Wii Active 30-day challenge, it sounds like the product is developing nicely.

Wii Active – Females will enjoy working out at home

Majority of the world’s female population can immensely benefit from EA’s new product, the Wii Active. Why? Because it caters to their health requirements by presenting them a variety of exercises: from yoga, aerobics, and to even outdoor activities.

The difference between Wii Active and Wii Fit is the mat. EA Sports Wii Active does not require the use of this mat, which, to some, is a big plus because they will no longer feel the need to balance in this small elevation. Instead, they can use resistance bands that measure the amount of strength output the person gives. The nunchuk pocket holds the controller while they do leg exercises as it gauges exercise techniques and repetitions.

Because its target market is the female population, the virtual trainer strikingly resembles Oprah’s trainer Bob Greene. He will be there to guide the users as they go through a variety of movements. As the girls sweat it out, the trainer eggs them further and encourages them to continue as they stretch their muscles out. The best thing about this new technological advance is the fact that the participants are given the freedom to choose their exercise regime should they get bored with their routine. The visuals and sounds placed are there for further entertainment. Now, they can no longer get uninterested because they are made to choose which exercise interests them the most.

EA Sports Active – The Up and Coming Technology Health Fitness

The giants of the entertainment software industry are engaging into stiff competitive battle with Nintendo Wii Fit. This past May 2009,  Wii Active was introduced in hopes to capture market share from Nintendo Wii Fit who has is currently dominating the market for technology based health fitness products.  EA’s Wii Active key target are women who want variety in their exercise routines and prefer to stay in the comfort of their home.   Many believe that EA Sports Wii Active is prompt to take over Wii Fit for the following reasons:

Wii Active - Workout in the comfort of your home

1. The price is $30 less than Wii Fit’s current of $90.

2. No need to have a balance board for the exercise program.  There are additional exercise where you can optionally used the balance board.  Not requiring the balance board bring you additional saving as compared to Wii Fit.

3. Wii Active Power bands for resistance and the nunchuk are used as the main tools for the entire program.  The power bands alone gives an edge over Wii Fit for building strength and endurance.

4. There are more than 20 exercises and motivational challenges to start with.

5. Unlike Wii Fit ,  EA Sport Wii Active is modeled after some of the biggest star trainers to bring additional credibility to exercise program.

Wii Fit has a real contender on its hands.  Even though this is the first release , other workout packages will be released soon that will give Wii Active an edge over Nintendo Wii Fit.  Some say that if EA could accurately measure Body Fat it would definitely push Wii Fit over its competition.

This past year EA (Entertainment Arts, Inc.)  entertainment giant launched a new software to battle with Nintendo’s Wii Fit.  The product is call Wii Active.  The first thing you will notice about the product is the cost savings of $30.00 as compared to the Wii Fit.
